The design

Lantern explores an open framework within the collection. Vertical ribs leave space around the centre, so the interest comes from the gaps as much as the lines themselves. It is a more architectural direction beside Bowl’s continuous surface.

Consider how that open structure reads from your usual viewpoint. On a shelf or side table, the background becomes part of the composition: the wall, the objects behind it and the space you leave around the form.

Before you choose
  • Decide whether you prefer an open framework or a more continuous surface.
  • Consider what will be visible through the ribs in the intended setting.
  • Confirm the intended contents, finished dimensions and approved use before choosing it for a particular light source.
